Join interdisciplinary artist Fié Neo for an afternoon of social dreaming and collective imagination. It will feature three of her short, experimental documentary films, each looking at important social change moments at different parts of the planet. After the screenings, Fié will lead an interactive session utilizing an instantiation of her “Museum of Dreams and Imagination, a creative tool which animates hopeful visions of the future.
About the Films
Green Spring, 2016: The year of Stanford rape case, the eruption of Women’s march and is it perhaps foreboding that this film premiered the day of Trump’s election in 2016?
A, 2018: A film that started from a meeting in Bucharest, an impromptu documentary made. A story to be told, a person to get to know.
In Search of Hope, 2020: An existential journey searching for hope in an environmental crisis and as covid-19 struck.
About Fié
Fié is an interdisciplinary artist who makes socially engaged works through participatory practice, wearable art and film. She creates spaces and encounters for human connection. Fié has performed and shown her works at Royal Albert Hall, London Design Festival, Singapore Art Week, New Zealand Fringe Festival and more. She hosts a podcast called Onions Talk that features socially engaged practitioners on their change making journey.
