Come celebrate the live release of the new LiKEWiSE album, Rise Above, recorded in Nashiville and featuring collaborations by plenty of beloved Vancouver musicians. LiKEWiSE features Rachel Prior-Tsang on lead vocals & guitar, Chris Fowles on vocals & bass, Richard Brown on drums, Noah Walker on lead guitar, and Emily Villavicencio, Kiki Connelly, Star Trickey, and Andrea Brett on background vocals.

Roots, folk-soul band LiKEWiSE crafts music that resonates with global change. With echoes of folk, R&B, gospel, soul, and Canadiana, their music invites listeners into a space of optimism and transcendence to face the complexities of the human experience. Imagine a coffee chat between Joni Mitchell and Dave Matthews, with musical interludes from Birds of Chicago, The Civil Wars and Half Moon Run, and you start to grasp the essence of LiKEWiSE.
Their self-titled debut album has been celebrated as “haunting, exquisite, and complex,” showcasing a blend of introspective lyrics and evocative melodies. LiKEWiSE’s performances are known for their ability to navigate from sacred stillness to energizing groove, capturing the full spectrum of human emotion. From the haunting cry of “In the Dark” to the uplifting anthem “Ageless Sun,” their music is roots dug deep in the ground and hands lifted to the sky.
LiKEWiSE has brought their dynamic performances to a variety of venues and festivals, including the Blessed Coast Festival in Squamish, Canadian Memorial, the Railway Club, Guilt and Company with Krystle Dos Santos’ Underneath the Harlem Moon and Enliven Festival. The band celebrated the release of their debut album with a concert at St. James Hall, performing regularly on the Sunshine Coast, in Victoria and in Vancouver.
LiKEWiSE has recorded their next album in Nashville with esteemed producer Dean Miller, known for his work with Sheryl Crow, Allison Krauss, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Willie Nelson, and Dolly Parton. They have collaborated with Canadian Juno award-winner Michael Creber and recording engineer and producer Craig Zurba, renown guitarist Steve Dawson, and stellar vocalists, Star Trickey, Andrea Brett, Emily Villavicencio, Kiki Connelly, David Symons, Monique Creber, Colette Perkin, and Kemal Evans. LiKEWiSE continues to inspire and uplift with their music, blending heartfelt storytelling with vibrant rhythms and a message of hope. Their performances are more than just shows; they are a journey from stillness to groove, grounded in joy and resilience.
