RISE CAREGIVERS COLLECTIVE

RISE CAREGIVERS COLLECTIVE

Rise Caregivers Collective is inspired by the shared experience, passion, and unparalleled musicianship of the Re:Sisters (Barb Coward, De Whalen, Janet Dempsey, Janet Hall), the Arntzen Sisters (Holly Arntzen, Jenny Arntzen) and Gillian Hobbs. They will present a program of traditional and original folk music, enriched with personal stories from their family experiences of caregiving. Special guest, Jane Slemon, will bring depth and extraordinary artistic insight to the uncelebrated labour of caregiving.

About Rise Caregivers Collective

Rise Caregivers Collective exists to make the important work of family caregivers valued and visible. We know these caregivers support your clients, our loved ones. Family caregivers  enrich our society as a whole. They build connections within the community and minimize social isolation in older adults. The unpaid work of family caregiving impacts at least one quarter of Canadian households, and these impacts are increasing with each passing day.

If you are a current or past family caregiver, a health researcher, decision-maker, health advocate or healthcare professional, we want to meet you and hear your stories.
