TIM READMAN: ALBUM RELEASE LISTENING PARTY

TIM READMAN: ALBUM RELEASE LISTENING PARTY

SATURDAY, 7 September 2024  |  DOORS AT 19:30, MUSIC FROM 20:00

Vancouver’s Tim Readman – musician, singer, songwriter, producer and music journalist – is celebrating the release of his new album: Songs from Eighth & Eight. The work is titled for the arts and community space initiative, led by Massey Theatre in New Westminster, where Tim was an artist-in-residence and where all the songs were written. Songs from Eighth & Eight stands as a collection of protest songs, deeply relevant to our present moment, exploring themes of climate change, political conflict, and social inequality. This will be a chance to hear ‘Songs from Eighth & Eight’ for the very first time on the day of its release, and chat with Tim afterwards about the songs. All gifts received on the night will be passed on to the Vancouver Food Bank.

Tim on the nature of a “Listening Party”
“A listening party is an event to celebrate and promote the release of an album, where attendees listen to the whole album together in its entirety. They are a popular way for an audience to connect with an artist and get an early preview of new recorded music.”
