Zach Kleisinger & Emma Worley
Thursday, 1 June 2023 | DOORS AT 19:30, MUSIC FROM 20:00
Join Zach Kleisinger & Emma Worley for an evening of storytelling and song-sharing. Featuring performances by Zach and his band and Toronto’s Emma Worley, the event will traverse each artist’s version of alternative folk. Two great artists, one intimate stage.
Zach Kleisinger
Zach is a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter who is celebrating the warm reception to his first full-length album, Their Symposium; and he has released several other fine EPs and singles in recent years. His work is deeply personal but, like Zach, the songs more often express a smartly understated, softly spoken warm humour than tortured anxiety. It’s the kind of intimate, revelatory song-writing that rewards an audience, rather than exploiting it. We love Zach’s music and think you will too.

Emma Worley
Hailing from Guelph, Ontario, and now residing in Toronto, Emma Worley spent many years dedicated to a career as an emerging visual artist. Upon graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design University, Worley garnered attention for her sculpture/installation work through exhibitions, installations, and residencies at various high-profile institutions. However, despite her burgeoning success in the visual-arts world, Worley found herself compulsively drawn towards creating the material that would become her debut album, Sentimentalist. Pulling from lived experience, triumph, heartbreak, and everything in between, the wisdom and grace of this collection is telling of Worley’s dedication to relatable storytelling and emotional finesse.
