Toronto’s ZINNIA finally comes west – after their 2020 tour was… ummm… postponed by the global pandemic – stopping at Notional Space on their way to the Campbell Bay Music Festival. Rachael Cardiello’s experiment in thoughtful, expansive pop writing earned a place on CBC’s “Best Lyrics of 2019” list, following the release of ZINNIA’s debut record, Sensations in Two Dot. Come welcome the full-colour sound of this five-piece band to our post-plague revival.
The evening will open with the synthy dreampop of Yawn, a project of Vancouver songwriter and artist Julia McDougall.
